Thank you for visiting EuropeanAccountants.co.th. Before we talk about the nitty-gritty of our business allow me to give a brief historical background of ourcompany so you know who you are dealing with.
After a lengthy stay in the Middle East where I (a Belgian national) was responsible for the financial management of several hospitals, my family and I decidedto settle in Thailand on a permanent basis, the Asian economic boom at the time being a decisive factor. Soon after our arrival we began probing the localmarket for opportunities. During encounters with management of foreign owned companies operating in Thailand we noticed the communication difficultiesmany were facing with their Thai accountants. To complicate matters further very few seemed familiar with the Thai Revenue Code (ambiguous as it often is)and the plethora of forms required by the tax authorities, not to mention the unnecessary payment of fines and "special considerations" most of them had facedat one time or other. As a result, at the time, the only alternative available to them was to hand the day-to-day financial management to a subsidiary of the"big 4" (PWC, KPMG, Ernst&Young or Deloitte). Needless to say this solution was only of interest to companies with considerable financial resources and theearnings to justify the expense.
That was then. Soon after, in January of 1996, EuropeanAccountants Ltd was incorporated with the specific aim to render accounting, tax compliance, businessadvisory and consulting services to foreign owned/managed SMEs. We are proud to say, we have not looked back since. With a current clientele of 30, eightfull-time accountants plus support staff, we have been able to provide personal affordable multilingual (English, Dutch, French and Thai) financial serviceshitherto non-existent in the Thai market.
